Spring 2020 ESL Classes Cancelled

Posted on March 26, 2020

We are sad to say that we must cancel the Spring term for St. Mark ESL. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has announced that all schools in the state of Virginia – public and private schools – will be closed for whole academic term. For us that means: no Spring term. We hope that we can begin classes again in September as usual.

Here are some ideas to practice English while we are on this long break:
Free Apps that you can get on your cell phone:
Innovative 101- Free videos to practice English

Duolingo – Make sure you choose English as the language you want to learn. There are also choices: English for Spanish speakers, English for Arabic Speakers, English for Russian Speakers, and many more.

Step Forward student textbooks: Look on the back cover of your Step Forward textbook. See Student audio and Online Practice at the website address: www.oup.com/elt/stepfoward.
We at St. Mark ESL miss you and hope we can get back together when this corona virus crisis is over.
Meanwhile, stay healthy and safe and practice your English if you can.
